You will serve as a SHIPBUILDING SPECIALIST (PLANNER) in the WATERFRONT OPERATIONS (WFO) DEPARTMENT (CODE 300) of SOUTHEAST REG MAINTENANCE CTR SERMC.Requirements:
FOR THE GS-11:Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
- Experience accomplishing contract management oversight for a variety of ship repair industrial operations (e.g. production processes, methods, equipment, estimating, practices, production scheduling, and processing);
- Experience interpreting technical knowledge to interpret work specifications;
- Experience interpreting blueprints/technical drawings to ensure contractor is complying with technical requirements of the contract;
- Experience estimating and planning work specifications so that a contractual work package can be developed;
- Experience writing analytical reports and technical reports in MS Word;
- Experience providing cost estimating to contracts department to establish government position for fair and reasonable pricing;
- Experience utilizing Fleet Maintenance Manuel (JFFM) for contract administration and ship maintenance.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
- Experience solving technical problems with all facets of ship maintenance;
- Experience reviewing contract specifications, drawings, technical manuals and design test requirements to determine and evaluate contractor compliance;
- Experience providing detailed reports, recommendations, contract modifications and correspondence;
- Experience with environmental and occupational safety and health regulations;
- Experience with planning of shipbuilding, ship repair and modernization;
- Experience with automated data processing equipment.
