In this position you will serve as the Flight Chief exercising supervisory and managerial authority over the 96 CS/SCO Flight; delivering first-class "COMM" to advance Team Eglin's warfighting capabilities.

In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for Information Technology (IT) Management Series 2210 (Alt A) positions located here

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower broadband NH-03 or equivalent to the next lower grade GS-13 in the Federal Service. Specialized experience is coordinating, advising, planning, and organizing all activities related to the cybersecurity and A&A of the organizations classified and unclassified base network enclaves; perform duties as a senior information technology (IT) specialist providing a wide range of IT and network security services tailored to support critical in-garrison and deployed command, control, and mission information, processes, and systems and providing advanced knowledge and skill in the use of IT systems.

Experience: Experience must be IT related; the experience may be demonstrated by paid or unpaid experience and/or completion of specific, intensive training (for example, IT certification), as appropriate

GS-5 through GS-15 (or equivalent): For all positions individuals must have IT-related experience demonstrating each of the four competencies listed below. The employing agency is responsible for identifying the specific level of proficiency required for each competency at each grade level based on the requirements of the position being filled. Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities 1. Knowledge of the theories, concepts, principles, practices, standards, methods, techniques, and materials of professional computer science, and knowledge of other technical disciplines to effectively apply advanced computer software, software systems and computer hardware architectural theories, principles and concepts to new applications, experimental theories, and other areas of responsibility.
2. Knowledge of the principles of planning, program management, and standard acquisition regulations, practices, and procedures.
3. Knowledge of safety, security, personnel management, and EEO regulations, practices, and procedures.
4. Ability to plan, organize, and direct the functions and mentor, motivate, and appraise the staff of an organization through subordinate supervisors.
5. Ability to analyze, plan, and adjust work operations of one or more organizational segments to meet program requirements and objectives within available resources.
6. Ability to communicate clearly, concisely, and with technical accuracy, both orally and in writing, as well as work in a professional manner with peers, management, contractors, academia, and other agencies.
