Serves as a Supervisory Inventory Management Specialist for expendable (EX) assets/material in the Supply Chain Management Service. Supervises multiple supply series of consumable medical supply/inventory used in the healthcare system and micro-purchase program. Recognized as subject matter expert and serves as advisor and consultant to the Chief Supply Chain Officer and Assistant CSCO on inventory management matters. Occupies a major position and is critical to medical center operations.Requirements:
To qualify for this position, applicants must meet all requirements by the closing date of this announcement, 10/15/2025.Time-In-Grade Requirement : Applicants who are current Federal employees and have held a GS grade any time in the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements by the closing date of this announcement.
- For a GS-11 position you must have served 52 weeks at the GS-09.

Minimum Qualification Requirement:
- Specialized Experience: You must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade GS-09 in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. Examples of specialized experience would typically include, but are not limited to: Receiving, purchasing, distribution of facility, environmental supplies, office supplies, non-OIT consignment and prosthetics consumables, equipment instrumentation. Planning, coordinating and executing an expendable inventory and commodity management program. Establishing procedures, overseeing and reviewing physical inventories and supply reconciliations. Conducting data/information analysis for acquisition planning. Planning and reviewing supply/inventory processes, functions. Planning, assigning and evaluating work and resolving complaints. Analyzes, coordinates and controls management of stock items to support preparation of long range forecasts to support new requirements. Directs wall-to-wall and periodic inventories to identify potential shrinkage issues. OR,
- Education: Applicants may substitute education for the required experience. To qualify based on education for this grade level you must have a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M. OR,
- Combination: Applicants may also combine education and experience to qualify at this level. You must have an combination of specialized experience and education beyond a master's degree.

Note : A full year of work is considered to be 35-40 hours of work per week. Part-time experience will be credited on the basis of time actually spent in appropriate activities. Applicants wishing to receive credit for such experience must indicate clearly the nature of their duties and responsibilities in each position and the number of hours a week spent in such employment.
Physical Requirements: The work is primarily sedentary and is usually accomplished while seated at a desk or table, typically in an adequately lighted and climate controlled office. Some standing, walking, bending and lifting (up to 40 lbs.) is required. Physical exertions including stretching, reaching and pulling or pushing cares occurs when assisting with inventories or activities involving retrieving items from shelves and cabinets.
