Description:
You will serve as a SUPERVISORY FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT ANALYST in the FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT OFFICE-N8 DEPARTMENT of COMNAVREG SE JAX.This position is a Temporary Promotion not to exceed 3 Years. This position may be extended at 1 Year increments for an additional 2 years for a total of 5 Years. Position may be made permanent without further competition. Management has the right to terminate the promotion before the NTE date.
Requirements:
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:1) Serving as Budget Officer and senior financial analyst for assigned programs; 2) Coordinating budget execution among Region Program Directors/managers/analysts and senior management; 3) Assisting the Comptroller with preparation of budget exhibits and formulation; 4) Directing financial reporting and resolution of problems (e.g. unmatched transactions, reconciliations, problem payments); 5) Serving as a Delegated Authorizing official, including development, determination, and interpretation of budgetary policies and practices; 6) Representing the Department in matters of financial audit and program review; 7) Planning work, setting priorities, and scheduling work for junior employees to assure effective and expeditious accomplishment of priority work without adverse effect on regular and recurring work, and seeking to improve production and quality of work. This is a Financial Management Level III certified position per the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2012, Section 1599d. You must achieve this level within prescribed timelines. Certification requirements are in DoD Instruction 1300.26.
