You will serve as a TRAINING INSTRUCTOR (AVIATION RESCUE SWIMMER) in the NAVAL AVIATION SCHOOLS COMMAND.Requirements:
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Develops curricula, media presentations, and training programs for various rescue swimmer courses; 2) Conducts curriculum and training safety inspections of multiple high-risk locations for water survival and rescue swimming trainings; 3) Oversees qualifications, evaluations, emotional and physical health screenings, training, and documentation of instructors performing high-risk trainings; 4) Maintains instructor and student training jackets to properly document successful or unsuccessful completion of student training events; 5) Performs risk assessments of high-risk curricula, identifying deficiencies to develop new or modified instruction methods; 6) Develops standard operating procedures (SOPs), safety procedures, Pre-Mishap Plans, and Emergency Action Plans (EAP) to ensure standardization of rescue swimming and other high-risk instructional programs.Additional qualification information can be found from the following Office of Personnel Management web site: https://www.opm.gov/policy-data-oversight/classification-qualifications/general-schedule-qualification-standards/#url=List-by-Occupational-Series
