You will serve as a HAZARDOUS WASTE DISPOSER in the ENVIRONMENTAL DIV, COMPLIANCE & QUALITY DEPT of FLTREADCEN SOUTHEAST.The President has ordered a government-wide hiring freeze subject to certain limited exceptions. This position is subject to the hiring freeze. Although we are moving forward with the consideration of candidates, we will not make a selection for this vacancy announcement unless and until the position is no longer subject to the hiring freeze.

This job has a screen-out element which will be used to determine minimum eligibility for this job. Applicants who do not receive a minimum of two points on the screen-out element(s) will be found ineligible. The Screen-out Element for this position is: ABILITY TO DO THE WORK OF THE POSITION WITHOUT MORE THAN NORMAL SUPERVISION: 1) Collecting, processing, and packaging hazardous wastes for temporary storage and disposal; 2) Operating manual and power lifting devices and motor vehicles to pick up, transport and store industrial waste or other types of hazardous waste; 3) Verifying identification labels are accurate with the correct information such as origin number, waste information, dates and type of waste; 4) Separating, combining and transporting hazardous chemicals and substances for the department; 5) Examining hazardous waste containers at generation sites for leakage and other indications of deterioration; and 6) Operating a database for processing, storing and shipping requirements.
