You will serve as an Electronic Industrial Controls Mechanic in the Facility & Plant Maintenance Division, Facility & Infrastructure Management Department of FLTREADCEN SOUTHEAST.

This job has a screen-out element which will be used to determine minimum eligibility for this job. Applicants who do not receive a minimum of two points on the screen-out element(s) will be found ineligible. The Screen-out Element for this position is: Ability to do the work of the position without more than normal supervision: 1) Applying extensive theoretical and practical knowledge of operation, capabilities, and limitations of electronic control equipment and systems; 2) Reading, interpreting and applying flow charts, truth tables, electrical/electronic schematics and mechanical/hydraulic blueprints; recognizing the relationship of physical components and devices to these diagrams and applying verbal and/or sketched ideas to systems modifications; 3) Developing skills leading to certification as a solderer due to the minute and fragile components which must be unsoldered and resoldered within the system control; 4) Adapting troubleshooting and repair techniques to newly installed or modified systems often incorporating unusual circuitry with limited or no technical information; 5) Utilizing electronic and other test equipment required for the trade
