You will serve as a Supervisory IT Specialist (APPSW) in the Naval Education and Training Command (NETC HQ), of INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY DIVISION N6.The President has ordered a government-wide hiring freeze subject to certain limited exceptions. This position is subject to the hiring freeze. Although we are moving forward with the consideration of candidates, we will not make a selection for this vacancy announcement unless and until the position is no longer subject to the hiring freeze.
Requirements:
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Applying software design principles, methods, and approaches to assist with the design, test and maintenance of software applications to meet technical and functional requirements; 2) Developing software projects associated with training management systems to ensure training requirements are met; 3) Translating systems requirements into application prototypes; 4) Analyzing IT systems to provide advice to management and customers; and 5) Distributing, coordinating and monitoring IT work assignments.Additional qualification information can be found from the following Office of Personnel Management website: https://www.opm.gov/policy-data-oversight/classification-qualifications/general-schedule-qualification-standards/2200/information-technology-it-management-series-2210-alternative-a/
