You will serve as a SUPERVISORY IT SPECIALIST (SYSANALYSIS) in the SYSTEMS ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY SERVICES DEPT. of INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY DIVISION N6.The President has ordered a government-wide hiring freeze subject to certain limited exceptions. This position is subject to the hiring freeze. Although we are moving forward with the consideration of candidates, we will not make a selection for this vacancy announcement unless and until the position is no longer subject to the hiring freeze.
Requirements:
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Applying knowledge of application software principles to oversee the design, documentation, development, modification, testing, installation, implementation, and support of new or existing applications software; 2) Providing and/or directing technical support in areas of application software engineering, technology infusion, system analysis; project management, and data base administration and management; 3) Leading and/or participating in Information Technology (IT) studies that analyze the applications development process, and identify performance parameters to achieve cost, schedule and performance goals; and 4) Developing IT policies for an organization, identifying, policy needs and priorities, establishing policy development agendas and, and preparing and implementing metrics for measuring policy effectiveness.Your experience must reflect skill in the following areas: attention to detail, customer service, oral communication, and problem solving.
