You will serve as a Safety and Occupational Health Manager in the Compliance Division of FLTREADCEN SOUTHEAST.The President has ordered a government-wide hiring freeze subject to certain limited exceptions. This position is subject to the hiring freeze. Although we are moving forward with the consideration of candidates, we will not make a selection for this vacancy announcement unless and until the position is no longer subject to the hiring freeze.
Requirements:
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing duties such as: 1) Serving as the Command's principal advisor and technical authority on the development, organization, administration, evaluation, supervision and coordination of comprehensive safety and occupational health programs; 2) Providing safety standards, instructions, and programs to provide employee and plant protection in accordance with all aspects of Federal and Navy standards and regulations; 3) Engaging the workforce and maximizing participation in hazard communication and sharing information for the purpose of accident and injury prevention; 4) Developing and advising on cost-effective safety measures for industrial processes, ensuring both worker safety and business objectives are met. 5) Planning, coordinating, directing, and supervising through subordinate supervisors, team leaders, and safety program managers all required mission and functional activities.Additional qualification information can be found from the following Office of Personnel Management web site: https://www.opm.gov/policy-data-oversight/classification-qualifications/general-schedule-qualification-standards/#url=List-by-Occupational-Series
