Description:

This Non-appropriated Fund (NAF) position will be assigned to the Community Services flight at Wright-Patterson AFB, OH. Plans, develops, markets, and executes, special events and community partnership programs to support authorized users of Force Support Squadron facilities and programs.

The position includes paid holidays, annual and sick leave accrual, as well as optional participation in Group Health, Dental, Life Insurance plans, Retirement, 401K and Flexible Benefits plans.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.

Qualifying Experience:
Knowledge of business operations policies, procedures, methods, and publicity techniques within one or more of the following areas: military recreation; morale, welfare, and recreation business operations; and/or community wide event planning to evaluate strengths or weaknesses and develop/revise programs to meet goals and promote patronage. Skill in written and oral communication techniques to explain, justify, and present ideas and findings on a variety of issues. Ability to make decisions and work effectively under the pressure of timelines and rigid deadlines. Knowledge of accounting and budgeting procedures in order to prepare, monitor variances, and revise budgets. Must possess skill in dealing with customers and public. Experience using Microsoft Office software such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Bachelor's degree in recreational leadership, parks and recreation management, leisure studies or related field is highly desirable. This is a drug testing designated position. The incumbent is subject to random testing for drug use. Must be able to satisfactorily complete a National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI).
