You will serve as a SUPERVISORY GENERAL ENGINEER/ARCHITECT in the Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command Southeast of NAV FACILITIES ENGINEERING COMMAND SE.Requirements:
This position has a selective placement factor that will be used to screen out ineligible candidates. The selective placement factor is: Current registration as a Professional Engineer (PE) or as a Registered Architect (RA) in the District of Columbia, Guam, Puerto Rico, or any State in the U.S is required. NOTE: You must submit a copy of your current registration with your application to be considered for this position.I n addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, y our resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing the following duties:1) Extensive knowledge of advanced concepts, principles and practices in engineering/architecture to serve as an expert in consultation, design and construction. 2) Knowledge of computer applications to manage workload to provide status updates using computer-based programs (i.e. eContracts, eProjects, Enterprise Safety Application Management Systems (ESAMS), Facility Accident and Incident Reporting (FAIR)), AutoCAD, and Primavera scheduling software. 3) Evaluates requirements as it relates to project schedule, cost impacts, and quality control/quality assurance efforts to maximize effectiveness of Design and Construction. 4) Knowledge of how to prepare government reports and conduct key meetings and negotiate or assist in the negotiation of proposed change orders, review/approval/monitoring of construction contractor schedules, maintaining visibility on overall project cost.
