You will serve as a General Supply Specialist in the Supply Management Department, Hazardous Material (HAZMAT) Management Branch of NAVSUP FLT LOGISTICS CNTR JACKSONVILLE.This is an obligated position. The former incumbent has return rights to this position under PL 86-585.
Requirements:
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-07) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector applying knowledge of various supply regulations, policies, procedures and/or instructions relating to the operation of hazardous material, inventory management and/or issue and receipt processing to provide services for hazardous management and operational support. Examples of specialized experience include some or all of the following; 1) Conducting physical inventory of hazardous materials, recording findings and making inventory adjustments if necessary; 2) Disposing of hazardous materials and waste in accordance with federal, state and local laws and regulations; 3) Providing procedural guidance to supply and material management personnel involved in the receipt, issue, storage, delivery, accounting, reutilization and/or disposal of hazardous material; 4) Reviewing procedures and analyzing reports of data to ascertain problems in accuracy, adequacy, adherence to procedures, etc.; 5) Cataloging, receiving, ordering, labeling, storing, monitoring, issuing, inspecting, shelf-life management, delivery and/or disposal of hazardous material via an automated supply program.Additional qualification information can be found from the following Office of Personnel Management website: https://www.opm.gov/policy-data-oversight/classification-qualifications/general-schedule-qualification-standards/#url=List-by-Occupational-Series
