This National Guard position is for a SECRETARY (OA)(TITLE 5), Position Description Number T5100000 and is part of the FL HQ 101 AOG, National Guard.Requirements:
AREA OF CONSIDERATION: This position is in the Excepted Service "under the authority of Title 5, P.L. 114-328, Sections 932 and 1084 (FY17 NDAA)", and is open to current on-board (Tenure 1, 2 and 3) US Federal employees interested in helping the Department of the Air Force meet our mission requirements as a Secretary (OA).PCS: Permanent Change of Station (PCS) MAY be authorized. Authorization for payment of PCS expenses will be granted ONLY after determination is made that payment is in the best interest of the Florida National Guard.

FLNG BUS Code 8888: This position is "excluded" and ineligible for labor organization representation.
GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Must have experience, education, or training performing any combination of the following tasks: typing (letters, forms); general clerical (answering the telephone, receiving visitors, composing correspondence, filing, reviewing outgoing correspondence for grammar, format, etc.) stenographic (taking and transcribing shorthand). Experience using computer and automation systems.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE GS07: Must have at least one year of specialized experiences at the GS-05 level or the equivalent which provides knowledge and/or experience prepares a wide variety of recurring and nonrecurring personal and executive correspondence, reports, and other documents from information obtained from the staff, files, and other sources. Experience reviews and processes incoming and outgoing correspondence, reports, and other materials submitted for the Commander's signature. Experience receiving telephone calls, greets visitors and ascertains the nature of the calls or visits, screening those that can be handled without supervisor's help. Experience maintaining supervisor's calendar, coordinates meeting arrangements, and schedules meetings and/or conferences including those involving staff from outside the immediate office. Experience using advanced functions of word processing software to create, format, modify, edit, and print a variety of letters, reports, memos, and other textual documents.
