This National Guard position is for a SUPERVISORY INTELLIGENCE AND SECURITY SPECIALIST (TITLE 32), Position Description Number D2495000 and is part of the FL JFHQ, National Guard.
Requirements:
AREA OF CONSIDERATION : This position is in the Excepted Federal Civil Service "under the authority of 32 U.S.C. 709", and is open to Category 1: All permanent/indefinite (T32 and T5) technicians employed by the agency Category 3: All current military members of the Florida National Guard; and Category 4: All individuals who qualify for membership in the Florida National Guard and are willing to become T32 Dual Status technicians.
PCS: Permanent Change of Station (PCS) costs, MAY be authorized. Authorization for payment of PCS expenses will be granted ONLY after determination is made that payment is in the best interest of the Florida National Guard.
Recruitment / Relocation: Incentive MAY be authorized. ONLY after determination is made that payment is in the best interest of the Florida National Guard.
FLNG BUS Code 8888: This position is "excluded" and ineligible for labor organization representation.
MILITARY GRADES : Officer/Warrant Officer: WO1 thru O4
NOTES: This is a National Guard dual status position which requires military membership.
1. Attend the ARNG Security Manager Course within 12 months of hire.
2. This position is covered by the Domestic Violence Misdemeanor Amendment (30 Sep 96) of the Gun Control Act (Lautenberg Amendment) of 1968. An individual convicted of a qualifying crime of domestic violence may not perform the duties of this position.
3. Must be able to obtain and maintain a top secret security clearance
4. Irregular and/or overtime (compensatory) hours may be required to support operational requirements or contingencies or may be required to work hours outside of the normal duty day.
5. Ability to establish effective professional working relationships with coworkers and customers, contributing to a cooperative working environment and successful accomplishment of the mission.
6. May be required to travel by car, in military and/or commercial aircraft, and by other means of transportation as appropriate to perform temporary duty assignments
7. The work may require the incumbent to drive a motor vehicle; if so, and an appropriate valid driver's license is mandatory.
GENERAL EXPERIENCE : Must have experience, education, or training with administrative, professional, investigative, or technical work dealing effectively with others, to collect, evaluate and organize pertinent facts; experience preparing clear and concise written reports
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: GS12 Must have at least one year of specialized experience at the GS-11 level or the equivalent which provides knowledge and/or experience, education or training developing and recommending policy, organizing and carrying out specific programs, evaluating and recommending changes in methods of intelligence operations. Experience in administrative, investigative, or technical work which required the applicant to deal effectively with others. Experience collecting, evaluating and organizing pertinent facts and to analyze and prepare clear and concise reports. Experience in managing the function of the work to be performed. Experience which includes leading, directing and assigning work of personnel.
