About the position: This position is Non-appropriated Fund (NAF) and will be assigned to the Hobby Complex at Wright-Patt AFB. Responsible for the efficient operation of the Consolidated Hobby Shop to include but not limited to financial management, workforce supervision, and program development.The position includes paid holidays, annual and sick leave accrual, as well as optional participation in Group Health, Dental and Life Insurance plans, Retirement, 401K and Flexible Benefits plans.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.
Qualifying Experience:
Experience that demonstrates the ability to apply principles, methods, and techniques of recreation, and an understanding of the interest of individuals or groups. Specialized experience must include on or more: Planning, organizing, coordinating, supervising, or evaluation community, industrial, outdoor, institutional, or other skill development programs. Experience in instructing in the principle and mechanic of recreational program planning and management. Serving in a leadership role in the programs and activities of local, regional, and/or national recreational organizations is desired. Specialized experience demonstrate the applicants' ability to plan and implement new and unique programs and ideas without the benefits of established criteria. Education: Undergraduate of graduate major study of general recreation, or one of the appropriate fields of arts and crafts or the experience listed above. Must possess a valid motor vehicle operators' license. This is a drug testing designated position. The incumbent is subject to random testing for drug use. Applicant must be able to satisfactorily complete all required background checks.
