THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 5 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION.
This National Guard position is for a BUDGET OFFICER (TITLE 5) , Position Description Number T5744000 and is part of the FL HQ 101 AOG, National Guard.
Requirements:
AREA OF CONSIDERATION: This position is in the Excepted Service "under the authority of Title 5, P.L. 114-328, Sections 932 and 1084 (FY17 NDAA)", and is open to current on-board (Tenure 1, 2 and 3) US Federal employees interested in helping the Department of the Air Force meet our mission requirements as an Budget Officer.
PCS: Permanent Change of Station (PCS) costs, MAY be authorized. Authorization for payment of PCS expenses will be granted ONLY after determination is made that payment is in the best interest of the Florida National Guard.
Recruitment / Relocation: Incentive MAY be authorized. ONLY after determination is made that payment is in the best interest of the Florida National Guard.
NOTE: Must be Financial Manager Level 2 qualified within 2 years of employment.
GENERAL EXPERIENCE : Must have experience, education, or training involving skills in applying problem solving techniques; and skills in communicating effectively both orally and in writing. Ability to plan and organize work. Competencies in analysis, research, writing, and judgment typically gained through college education or progressively responsible experiences. Ability to follow established methods and procedures; use practical knowledge of the operations, procedures, and policies of specific program areas or functional assignment.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: GS-12 Must have at least one year of specialized experience at the GS-11 level or the equivalent which provides knowledge and/or experience, education, or training that provided in-depth knowledge of financial principles and procedures; comprehensive understanding of the principles and concepts of the National Guard financial budget business program requirements; experiences and training that demonstrates the abilities to lead, follow directions, read, retain, and understand a variety of instructions, regulations, policies, and procedures; experience at least 12 months of broadening finance, accounting, or audit program experiences in leading, planning and scheduling program work in a manner that promotes an even flow and distribution of assigning work requirements; experiences may include training and guiding employees on finance programs and assigning tasks; experience in structuring assignments that created effective and efficient procedures with measured and improved task processes.
