Description:

You will serve as a SUPERVISORY ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN in the COMBAT SYSTEMS DIVISION, WEAPONS SYSTEMS BRANCH which provides direct shipboard field engineering support of systems and equipment to include Self Defense, Guns, Vertical Launching Systems (VLS) and AEGIS Weapons Systems AEGIS/WEAPONS SYSTEMS BRANCH of SOUTHEAST REG MAINTENANCE CTR SERMC.

Requirements:

To qualify for a GS-13 , your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
  • Experience providing direct shipboard field engineering support of systems and equipment to include Self Defense, Guns, Vertical Launching Systems (VLS) and AEGIS at or below the current grade of the position (GS-13 or GS-12).
  • Experience effectively communicating verbally and in writing to establish Branch policies and can lead a technical team of civilians, military and contractor personnel to maintain the highest level of repair and adherence to technical standards and requirements.
  • Experience demonstrating knowledge and understanding of NAVSEA Technical Authority Policy
  • Experience in both the technical and business aspects of ship repair and modernization with a good working level knowledge of shipboard system maintenance, design and repair.
  • Experience meeting the physical and security requirements of the position.
