In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes experience managing and directing installation support services directly affecting the accomplishment of a multi-service operation and a complex multi-mission military installation. Experience in providing program direction, objectives, strategies and evaluations for installation support functions, operations and activities that include financial management, contracting services, law enforcement and security, housing management, family and community activities, internal review, equal opportunity, and personnel functions, technical and professional services including public works, environmental, energy, fire and emergency services. Experience managing and evaluating the impact of operational factors, assessing fiscal soundness and taking appropriate action to ensure the operational success of installation programs and activities. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-14).
