THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 5 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION.This National Guard position is for a SOCIAL WORKER (TITLE 5), Position Description Number T59128P1 and is part of the FL 125th FW, National Guard.
Requirements:
AREA OF CONSIDERATION: This position is in the Excepted Service "under the authority of Title 5, P.L. 114-328, Sections 932 and 1084 (FY17 NDAA)", and is open to current on-board (Tenure 1, 2 and 3) S Federal employees interested in helping the Department of the Air Force meet our mission requirements as a Social Worker.PCS: Permanent Change of Station (PCS) costs, MAY be authorized. Authorization for payment of PCS expenses will be granted ONLY after determination is made that payment is in the best interest of the Florida National Guard.

FLNG BUS Code 8888: This position is "excluded" and ineligible for labor organization representation.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENT : Must have a master's degree in social work by a school accredited by the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE).
Note: A doctoral degree in social work may not be substituted for the master's degree in social work.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: GS-12 must have at least 2 year of experience in clinical social work assignments. Completion of the Air Force Social Work Internship Program may be substituted for 12 months of the specialized experience requirement; experience demonstrates particular competencies of knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position; experience with social work theories, principles, techniques, and resources; experience in professional social work that includes interviewing people to establish the nature and extent of their problems, helping them work-out plans for improving the situation, providing assistance and services, referring them to community resources and other organizations as indicated, and assisting them to understand and modify their own patterns of behavior when appropriate.
