*********THIS IS AN AIR RESERVE TECHNICIAN (ART) POSITION*********** Applicants for this position must currently be a member of the Air Force Reserve or willing and eligible to join the Air Force Reserves. This means, be ready, willing and able to wear the military uniform and be activated should the need arise.Incumbent must meet and maintain Air Force Reserve requirements. The incumbent's regular assignments are primarily ART duties; however, the incumbent may also be assigned some non-ART duties, generally not to exceed 30 percent of total responsibilities. Work schedule will be aligned to allow the incumbent to function fully on unit training assembly (UTA) weekends. Incumbent may be required to fly in military and commercial aircraft to perform temporary duty (TDY) assignments . 3F271In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management Positions.

This is a GG-09 position in the Defense Civilian Intelligence personnel System (DCIPS). The GG-09 duties for the "Technician / Administrative support" work category are at the "Full Performance" work level and are equivalent to those at the GS-09 level. The selectee's salary will be set within the grade equivalent to a GS/GG grade based on the selectee's qualifications in relation to the job.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Your resume must reflect the quality level of experience which demonstrates the possession of the knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for successful job performance required for this position. Examples of creditable experience include: requires knowledge of an extensive body of rules, procedures, or operations requiring extended training and experience in order to perform a wide variety of interrelated or non-standard procedural assignments and resolve a wide range of problems. Practical knowledge of standard procedures in a technical field, requiring extended training or experience in order to perform such work as adapting equipment, when this requires considering the functioning characteristics of equipment. Note: Creditable experience may include previous military experience, experience gained in the private sector, or experience gained in another government agency.

EDUCATION: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position. COMBINATION OF EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. NOTE: You must submit a copy of official transcripts.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs ): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
1. Knowledge of AFRC Reserve mission and training methods, policies, procedures, regulations, instructions, and documentation requirements.
2. Knowledge of training goals and objectives to assist in the management and implementation of training goals for the intelligence and communications unit(s).
3. Knowledge of methods and procedures for conducting unit training studies.
4. Knowledge of and skill in using automated systems to prepare reports and extract data from them. Ability to analyze automated products to determine adequacy of program and/or deficiencies.
5. Knowledge of intelligence and communications Air Force Specialty Code skill-level qualifications, update, enhancement, and proficiency training requirements.
6. Skill in oral and written communication and ability to coordinate with all levels of command to ensure accomplishment of training program objectives.
PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE : Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.
VOLUNTEER WORK EXPERIENCE : Refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service Programs (i.e., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student and social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge and skills that can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
