This vacancy is for a WG - 5413-6,Fuel Distribution System Worker located in the Department of Homeland Security,
U.S. Coast Guard, USCG AIR STATION CLEARWATER in CLEARWATER, Florida.

Requirements:

To qualify for the Fuel Distribution System Worker, WG-5413-06, applicants must meet the following screen-out job element to be considered for this position:

  • Ability to do the work of the position without more than normal supervision (Screen-out Element)
  • Knowledge of equipment assembly, installation, repair, etc.,
  • Operation of fuel equipment forklift, etc.
  • Technical practices (theoretical, precise, artistic)
  • Use of measuring instruments
  • Ability to interpret instructions, specification, etc. (other than blueprinting reading)
  • Dexterity and safety

Applicants will be evaluated on their ability to perform the duties of the position rather than the length of experience. Eligibility will be determined by the relevance, scope, and quality of all experience and training, regardless of where or how acquired. To meet the screen-out examples of the duties includes:

ADD REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES "Skill in troubleshooting and repairing equipment, in marine (maritime), industrial, institutional, or commercial settings, providing the full range of electrical support in the areas of installation, diagnosis, repairing of electrical wiring, pulling of wires, and all other preventative maintenance. Have repaired/troubleshoot/diagnosis marine (maritime) generators(genset) and Transformers."

The Office of Personnel management (OPM) must authorize employment offers made to current or former political appointees.
