The primary purpose of this position is to analyze and evaluate logistics operational requirements through examining problems or potential problems at Eglin AFB FL.

General Experience: Applicants must have at least 3 years of progressively responsible experience, 1 year (52 weeks) of which equivalent to the next lower broadband NH-01, equivalent to the next lower grade GS-04 or equivalent in other pay systems. General experience is described as: aiding in analyzing and evaluating quantitative or qualitative effectiveness of program operations in meeting established goals and objectives; assists with interpreting statutory and administrative requirements and recommends changes to policies and procedures to implement the programs base-wide. NOTE: Due to the use of 120-day rosters, this period of experience may be completed within 120 days of the closing date of this announcement.

EDUCATION:
The successful completion of a 4-year course study leading to a bachelor's degree. NOTE: You must submit a copy of your transcripts.
OR
COMBINATION OF EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:
An equivalent combination of successfully completed, qualifying education and experience may be used to meet total experience requirements. General experience directly related to the work of the position may be used to meet the requirements of this position. Education in excess of a post-high school education may be used to qualify applicants for the NH-02 level. NOTE: You must submit a copy of your transcripts.
Ideal Candidate:
Knowledge of operations and/or procedures to provide services and resolve issues and problems of a procedural nature in logistics operations, planning, or program management. Knowledge of existing DoD, Air Force, and MAJCOM guidance related to evaluating exercise and inspection operations; to include DoD and AF administrative, exercise, and inspection policies, procedures, techniques, and practices.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
1. Knowledge of a wide range of well-established and commonly applied logistics principles, concepts, operations, directives, programs, and procedures.
2. Skill in gathering, assembling, and analyzing data/facts, developing conclusions, identifying trends, developing alternatives/solutions, and making recommendations to resolve problems.
3. Knowledge of operations and/or procedures to provide services and resolve issues and problems of a procedural nature in logistics operations, planning, or program management.
4. Knowledge of existing DoD, Air Force, and MAJCOM guidance related to evaluating exercise and inspection operations; to include DoD and AF administrative, exercise, and inspection policies, procedures, techniques, and practices.
5. Knowledge of inspection program objectives and methods used to evaluate the effectiveness of processes.
6. Knowledge of process improvement techniques and skill to develop innovative and feasible solutions to complex issues.
7. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE : Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.
VOLUNTEER WORK EXPERIENCE : Refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service Programs (i.e., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student and social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge and skills that can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
