Description:

This Non-appropriated Fund (NAF) position will be assigned to the Golf Course at Wright-Patterson AFB, OH. The primary function of the position is to perform heavy laboring tasks, which require significant manual skill and very heavy physical effort to operate equipment necessary to maintain golf course grounds.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.

Qualifying Experience:
Must have experience which demonstrates knowledge of: large, complex riding mowers and similar types of specialized mowing equipment; skill in operating various controls and levers to maneuver equipment and lift, lower, adjust, engage and disengage components or attached devices; skill in controlling and maneuvering large, complex mowing equipment; ability to independently complete assignments involving several steps, phases or procedures; ability to follow written and/or oral instructions; ability to lift and move heavy objects weighing over 50 pounds (23 kilograms).

Condition(s) of Employment : Must be able to satisfactorily complete a pre-employment physical. Requires a valid driver's license. Successful completion and favorable adjudication of applicable background investigation (Tier 1 Level) is required.

Physical Effort : Exerts very heavy physical effort in operating large riding mowers on grades and in areas with bushes, trees and other visible obstacles that require significant maneuvering and lever control. Some arm and leg movement is required to manipulate equipment controls. Employee frequently lifts and moves equipment and components weighing over 50 pounds (23 kilograms).
