This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for USACE for Real Estate Personnel to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.About the Position: Using a developed knowledge of real estate principles, practices, and values, the position serves as the Chief of Acquisition Branch, Real Estate Division, with the responsibility for the acquisition of real property for Jacksonville District area of responsibility, to include Florida.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes1) applying knowledge of directives, laws, policies, and regulations relating to Federal and Army real estate procedures associated with the planning for real estate acquisition projects; 2) obtaining real estate via direct purchase or working through a partner to identify and acquire interests in real estate; 3) performing reviews of partners' documentation to evaluate and recommend credit/reimbursement for costs associated with the acquisition of real property interests; 4) overseeing a diverse team assigned to execute the acquisition of real estate interests, real estate products and services, and all associated actions; and 5) communicating and coordinating with internal/external stakeholders. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-13).
