You will serve as a ACCOUNTING OFFICER in the FRCSE DEPT (HJ8) ACCOUNTING (HJ82) of FLTREADCEN SOUTHEAST.The President has ordered a government-wide hiring freeze subject to certain limited exceptions. This position is subject to the hiring freeze. Although we are moving forward with the consideration of candidates, we will not make a selection for this vacancy announcement unless and until the position is no longer subject to the hiring freeze.
Requirements:
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Specialized experience.- Provide advice to management concerning guidelines and public law, Navy Working Capital Fund (NWCF) accounting and financial operations, and other related fiscal guidance.
- Prepare, coordinate, and respond to all accounting taskers and data which includes payroll/labor, general ledger, and capital asset accounting, as well as customer service and analysis.
- Provide guidance and coordination for the completion and submission of consolidated financial statements.
- Review policy changes issued by higher authorities within the Federal Government to analyze the impact of policy on current accounting procedures, practices, and systems.
- Coordinate with higher authorities for clarification, additional interpretation of fiscal policies, provide interpretation and guidance for implementing fiscal policies to FRCSE.
- Prepare, design, and carry out programs, projects and studies to work results that are considered technically authoritative and are typically accepted without major changes.
- Provide a framework of principles pertaining to accounting functions, uses discretion and judgment in the interpretation of existing guidance.
