This position is located in Field Operations Directorate, Office of Field Operations, District 23, Tampa FL Field Office.

As a Supervisory Immigration Services Officer (Deputy District Director) , you will provide complex, technical, supervisory and management oversight for District functions and projects.

Requirements:

The qualifications for this position must be met by 11:59 PM (Eastern Time) on 04/25/2025.

Current Federal employees must have served 52 weeks at the lower grade or equivalent grade band in the Federal service. The Time-in-Grade requirement must be met by 11:59 PM (Eastern Time) on 04/25/2025.
GS-15 : You qualify at the GS-15 level if you possess one (1) year of specialized experience, which is equivalent to at least the GS-14 level in the federal government, that equipped you with the skills needed to successfully perform the duties of the position. You must have experience performing the following duties:
  • Serving as a senior-level expert and advisor to District Leadership in developing and/or analyzing overall policies, programs, regulations and short and long range plans.
  • Providing technical supervision to multiple levels of subordinates engaged in programs administering immigration benefits and services, processing citizenship applications and family and employment-based petitions and registration.
  • Serving as an expert or consultant to senior management officials on the resolution of extremely sensitive and complicated immigration issues.
  • Providing guidance and performance expectations to employees to encourage career growth and advancement and developing and motivating employees to enhance organization excellence.
