Description:

The purpose of the Child and Youth Program Custodian position is to provide a variety of semiskilled labor and cleaning tasks for the CYP facilities to include: Child Development Centers (CDCs), School Age Care (SAC) programs, Youth Programs, Child Development Home (CDH) offices and lending libraries. *** YOU MUST SUBMIT PROOF OF EDUCATION WITH YOUR RESUME TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THE POSITION***

Specialized experience directly related to the duties described above. Qualifying experience must have been equivalent to the next lower level in the normal line of progression.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:

  • Knowledge of a variety of chemical and cleaning agents.
  • Skill to use a variety of household and industrial equipment and attachments.
  • Skill to operate, clean, and make adjustments to powered cleaning equipment.
  • Physical ability to move furniture, lift and move objects over 50 1bs, walk, bend, stoop, and stand on a routine basis.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing, and possess strong interpersonal communication skill.

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer and part time experience. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
