About the Position: This position is located within the Navy Branch Health Clinic in Mayport Florida under the DIR of Clinical Support, Lab/Clinical Pathology. The hours of operation are 8 hour shifts, M-F 0600-1800. The incumbent may be expected to occasionally work over-time.This is a Direct Hire Solicitation using DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce.

Basic Requirements Medical Technician:
Certificate: This position has a selective placement factor which must be met prior to employment and for continued employment. Certification from the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP), American Medical Technologist (AMT) or other board or registry deemed comparable by Office of the Assistant Secretary of Defense for Health Affairs (OASD(HA)) or their designee as a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) is required.
AND
Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience at the GS-06 grade level or equivalentwhich includes performing complex testing in a clinical laboratory setting; maintaining and troubleshooting equipment; and conducting quality control check procedures.
