This National Guard position is for a HUMAN RESOURCES SPECIALIST (MILITARY) (T32), Position Description Number D2009000 and is part of the FL DCSPER, National Guard.
Requirements:
AREA OF CONSIDERATION: This position is in the Excepted Federal Civil Service "under the authority of 32 U.S.C. 709" and is open to Category 1: All permanent/indefinite (T32 and T5) technicians employed by the agency Category 3: All current military members of the Florida National Guard; and Category 4: All individuals who qualify for membership in the Florida National Guard and are willing to become T32 Dual Status technicians. First consideration will be given to Category 1.PCS: Permanent Change of Station (PCS) costs, Recruitment or Relocation Incentive MAY be authorized. Authorization for payment of PCS expenses, Recruitment or Relocation Incentive will be granted ONLY after determination is made that payment is in the best interest of the Florida National Guard.
Recruitment Incentive: May be paid to the candidate who is "newly appointed" into this federal government position. The bonus will NTE $7,000. Payment will be a lump sum payment at the beginning of employment. Candidate must agree in writing to remain in this position for a minimum of 12 months, and if they vacate that position for another technician, AGR or active-duty service position within the initial 12-month period, the Incentive may be recouped. Current onboard technicians, if selected, are not eligible for this bonus.

Military Grades: Officers/ Warrant Officer/ Enlisted; E5 thru O3
Specialized Experience: GS07- Must have at least one-year specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level planning, organizing, and administering the military personnel program for the organization; experience reviewing a variety of military personnel transactions including appointments, enlistments, separations, promotions, duty assignments, transfers, medical evaluations, line of duty actions, security clearances, awards and decorations, retirements, etc.
Specialized Experience: GS09- Must have at least 1 year experience at the GS-07 level or the equivalent which provided a basic working knowledge of National Guard missions, organizations, and personnel programs; basic knowledge and experiences of personnel programs gained in a classroom or as an on-the-job trainee; knowledge-based competency of human resources business elements and can discuss terminology, concepts, principles, and issues related to this competency; experienced in using references and resource materials and experienced in program functions such as, maintaining personnel records, counseling, or classification and assignments; experiences may include performing personnel functions associated with preparing and maintaining position descriptions and manual records, personnel classification or usage, quality force management, managing personnel records and researching record data; experience in operating a computer and using varied computer programs.
