Requirements:

Your application must show that you meet the following:

1.) You are a member in good standing of the bar of the State of Florida and admitted to practice before the highest court of the State of Florida and able to be admitted to practice before the United States District Court, Middle District of Florida within six (6) months of hiring.

2.) You possess at least one (1) year of demonstrated litigation experience in Disability laws, including the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA), and the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, which includes sections 504 and 508;.OR

3) Your law school transcript reflects you successfully completed courses covering some of the above education law topics and you have completed at least one year of law practice that includes some litigation experience. An incumbent with experience practicing before administrative bodies is highly desirable.

Upon selection the following documents will be requested:

An official transcript of your law school record together with an official statement of your relative standing in your class. However, if you has been a member of the Bar for 5 years or more, the transcript requirement may be waived.

An official statement that your fitness to practice law or your conduct as an attorney have never been challenged. If either your fitness or conduct has been challenged, an official statement concerning the facts and circumstances together with any explanation that the you may wish to submit.
